Friday Freebie(s)

I have guilt...immense guilt, because I told you all to be sure to visit my blog on Fridays to see all the fun projects that I am completing. I have had a CRAZY week, and have started numerous projects, though none have been completed. Thus, I have deemed this the Friday Freebie that I hook you up with the FREEBIES I have found while scouring the web. They're good ones!

1. Chick-fil-a is offering FREE waffle fries today from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. at participating restaurants. To get your FREE medium size waffle fries, all you have to do is ask about their new HEINZ DIP & SQUEEZE/FREE FRY promotion. Sounds pretty easy!

2. Chipotle is offering "buy one get one free" of their truly AMAZING burritos. All you have to do is watch a 90 second video on their Facebook page Click the CHIPOTLE link above, then hit the "Get Offers" tab and watch the video. If you haven't experienced Chipotle, you are missing out! It is SOOO GOOD.

3. Kindle is currently offering FREE games for download

4. Pizza Hut~ This last FREEBIE requires a small purchase, hence it's placement at the bottom of this post. Get free breadsticks (worth $3.99) from Pizza Hut when you do two simple things: "Like" the Pizza Hut Facebook page, and place a food order through its website. The freebie is to celebrate Pizza Hut accumulating more than 3 million Facebook fans. The deal ends March 6, 2011. Order online for pick up or delivery to get the free breadsticks. A number of Facebook fans are commenting that the free breadsticks did not show up in their order, but when I tested it the free breadsticks were there. When you click through to start your order, the free breadsticks should already be in your cart. Make sure not to delete them or you'll have to start over from Facebook.

Hope you enjoy some of these FREEBIES!

Time for A GIVEAWAY!!----Closed

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday! Since the New Year is this weekend and we are wanting to spend a little more time with families, we will be taking the week off, and be back to posting daily next Monday. In the meantime though we thought we would enter the new year with a giveaway!

Since A lil bird told me… has almost reached 100 followers we thought a nice way to say “Thanks for reading” would be to have a giveaway!!

My gracious friend Cierra has offered to giveaway ONE of her amazing 11x14 prints! Besides being super Mom, awesome crafter, and blog designer, Cierra is AMAZING at photography. I am super jealous of her talent and I love “ooing and ahhing” over her photos at her Yellow House blog. Check out her work, she is seriously talented, you don’t have to take my word for it though, her Save Ferris photo was recently featured over at Design Mom. If you live in Moscow, Idaho, she also does family and baby photography, which you can check out over at her Photograph: By Cierra blog. Once you have found your favorite print you can head on over to her Etsy shop to pick one up, and all the proceeds go paying for medical bills of her sweet Baby C.

Here are some of my faves...

On to the details for the giveaway….

Here is how to enter:

A: Become a follower of A lil bird told me…

B: Head over to Cierra’s Etsy shop and pick out which print you want if you win.

C: Leave a comment letting us know you have done the above two things!

Easy as 1, 2, 3!

If you want additional entries, here it is:

A: Post to Facebook, Twitter, or your blog about this giveaway. (1 entry for each)

B: Follow the Yellow House or Photograph: By Cierra blog. (1 entry for each)

C: Post a link or our button to your blog to share what a lil bird has told you! (1 entry)

Leave us the link to where you have posted the giveaway or that you are following the above blogs.

There you have it, 7 possible entries to win a beautiful 11x14 print from Cierra. This giveaway will be open until Monday 1/3/2011 12am MST. Thanks for reading and Happy New Year!! See you in 2011.

100 seems like a good number for a giveaway...

Since we are almost at 100 followers, we decided that 100 followers should warrant some attention. Once we hit 100, we will have a giveaway!! Tis' the season for giving right? I am super excited about this giveaway, it is going to be great. So spread the word, and tell your friends to follow, and a big THANK YOU to all of you who already do. We really appreciate each and every one of you who reads our blog.

What do you do with your Christmas cards?

I know for some people Christmas cards are a chore, and now in the digital age, many have found it easier to send e-card, rather than spending the time and money to print, stamp, and address cards. I know it is cheaper and easier to go digital, but I LOVE getting Christmas cards. The real ones, in the mailbox are THE BEST! So think twice about sending me a digital one, and please send a real one, let's not completely lose that personal touch. This year I really wanted to do a fun craft to display my Christmas cards, but I just couldn't find the time. I am not a fan of being a working Mom, it means those 25+ hours I spend at work, I don't get to spend playing with my baby and doing fun crafts that I would like. I decided to just survey what supplies I had, so I didn't have to make a trip to the store and go from there. I ended up using my leftover scrapbook paper from my paper chain, and beautifying some normal clothes pins I had. I have seen this project many places, I have also seen people paint their clothes pins, which is also super cute.
After my beautifying efforts, I just ran some baker's twine over existing nails in the wall. We live in a small place, which means my options are limited, so over the window it went.
I love being able to pin up new cards as they come, and I think it worked, for a simple solution. How do you display your cards? Have you seen any cute craft ideas for displaying cards? Have you sent out your cards yet? I got mine done last week, it took me FOREVER to decide which card from Shutterfly to get, but since I had a million pictures, I decided on this one. I love it. I wish I could figure out how to show you my actual card, but since I can't right click and save, you get to see the generic one. I love this season of remembering Christ's birth, sharing, and getting together with family. Keep the cards coming my way! :)

Happy Cyber Monday!

I am pleased to say this weekend was very fruitful for me in the way of shopping. I would say I am about 95% done with Christmas shopping, and got killer deals on the gifts I purchased. I think I only purchased 1 item that was not on sale, woo hoo! Tomorrow is Cyber Monday, and I am excited to see what deals are out there for my remaining 5%. The best part about online shopping is not having to brave the weather and you can shop in your PJ's. One of my favorite blogs, Homemade By Jill, is going to have a promo code for a Silhouette machine, and I am giving my husband major hints about this one. Do you know of any great Cyber Monday deals? If so, please share, so we can all take advantage of the savings! Happy shopping!

50 FREE Christmas Cards from Shutterfly

If you are doing lots of holiday shopping this weekend like me, here is a great deal to check out.

One of my favorite websites, Shutterfly, is having a fun promo for bloggers!! Hurry over and take advantage of their 50 free Christmas cards, they have TONS of cute cards to choose from, here are a few of my favorites.....

I LOVE these invitations, what a fun Christmas tradition it would be to have a cookie swap with friends and send out this invitation.

How cute is this card?? I am in love with the green paisley print, SO ADORABLE!

These two are super cute, especially if you can't decide on just one print like me.

If you are looking for great gift ideas they have canvas prints, that happen to be on sale right now (hurry over to get the sale price!) They also make calendars, a couple years ago I had a bunch of calendars made for my parents and in-laws, they have a super cute desk calendar that is new, I am thinking it would look great in an office.

In addition to all these fun gifts; Shutterfly also does baby announcements, baby books, and has a ton of other great products are services. Be sure to stop by and see all of the great deals going on this holiday season! Happy Holidays!
